Job Title:	Engineer –Mill lining
Location:	Company Organisation, Alwar, Rajasthan

 

 

JOB STATEMENT

 

This position is responsible for Design and detailed Engineering of Mill lining systems used in mining and ore processing industry.

 

 

 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Responsible for Design and engineering of Mill lining solutions including design of components like dischargers, grate plates, lifter bar, shell plate, head plate, trunions and centre covers etc.

·         Engineering of - customer order from pre contract to final Delivery and product performance follow-up.

·         Technical support to manufacturing, Sourcing, Quaility, Aftermarkets etc.

·         Standard Product maintenance, Up to date keeping of records, like drawings, BOMs, standards etc

·         Follow up and implementation of ECNS.

·         Project management-Keep all relevant records and apprise management regarding the status of projects and developments.

·         Close coordination with Quality and  reporting the field issues to global  engineering for improvisation  of products.

·         Keep track of warranty issues .

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY

 

•                      Report directly to the Manager – Product development

•                      Support the following staff with the dissemination of information

-    Sourcing, Quality, manufacturing, planning

-    Project Managers

-    Guide the designer for best engineering practices.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

 

·         BE (Mechanical) with 6-7 yrs  / DME with 8-10 yrs experience in Design/Engineering of mill linings/wear products./refractory.

·         Hand on experience in (Preferably designing of mill lining )using 3D &2D Software's like Inventor and AutoCAD is must

·         Previous working experience in ERP (SAP) environment would be an advantage.

 

 

 

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

·         Experience in Design/Engineering of mill linings.

·         A high level of computer skills is essential – Ms Excel, Word and Lotus Notes. Auto CAD, Inventor.

·         Analytical capability.

·         Knowledge of parts/materials used within the mills.

·         Highly motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

This position is predominately situated in an office environment and workshops, although travel to vendors and customers will be necessary.
