Technical Sourcing Manager, (India)
The Company offers sourcing and logistics solutions and monitoring services to Industrial and Consumer Goods Companies in Northern Europe. The Company Sourcing has a long background of tens of years and strong foothold on sourcing from Asia, especially from China.
The Company employs 18 sourcing, quality control and corporate compliance experts from its offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Helsinki and is looking closely on the Indian market. Nikolai's business concept is to deliver cost efficient, good quality sourcing solutions straight from the supplier to the customer - without middlemen.
To strengthen our industrial division, The Company is looking for a Technical Sourcing Manager with base in India, New Delhi area, as follows:
Job description:
● Targeted sourcing of components/tailor made parts for European engineering industry from India
● Screening and updating information on local producers and their abilities
● Negotiating conditions, prices, deliveries etc. with potential suppliers (for their products)
● Building and maintaining close contacts to premium local producers
● Actively monitor the market and offerings-/ production situation
Profile of a candidate:
● Good knowledge of engineering industry applications, at least 10 years experience of sourcing or production in engineering industry, experience of export business is an advantage.
● An academical degree in mechanical engineering or material technology
● Excellent English skills
● Solid business approach and commercial understanding
● Advanced social/ business skills, the person should be able to establish and maintain long-term partnerships (with suppliers and other service providers)
● Independent and self going (at the beginning home office based), however, also able to function well as part of a team
● Position requires independent and target oriented approach to succeed
● Position requires flexibility and traveling
