JOB STATEMENT

 

This position is responsible for Engineering and development of parts like screening media used in Construction and mining Industry made of Rubber and composites.

 

It includes support and coordination with , Production, Planning, Quality, Sourcing/Purchase, Sales etc.

 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Lead Design and development of Rubber parts.

·         Execution of customer order from pre contract to final Delivery.

·         Providing technical guidance to other functions.

·         Product maintenance, Up to date keeping of records, like drawings, BOMs, standards etc

·         Follow up and implementation of ECNS.

·         Preparation of manufacturing drawings for production.

·         Project management-Keep all relevant records and apprise management regarding the status of projects and developments

 

 

RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY

 

•                      Report directly to the Manager – Product development

•                      Support the following staff with the dissemination of information

-    Sourcing, Quality, manufacturing, planning.

-    Project Managers

-    Guide the designer for best engineering practices.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

 

·         BE (Mechanical) with 4-5 yrs  / DME with 6-8 yrs experience in Design/Engineering of relevant products.

·         Hand on experience in 3D &2D Software's like Inventor and AutoCAD.

·         Previous working experience in ERP(SAP) environment would be an advantage.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

·         Experience in Design/Engineering of screening media, used in construction and Mining Industry.

·         A high level of computer skills is essential – Ms Excel, Word and Lotus Notes. Auto CAD, Inventor, IDEAS.

·         Analytical capability.

·         Knowledge of parts/materials used within the mining, steel and allied industries.

·         Highly motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Understanding the need of documentation.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

This position is predominately situated in an office environment and work shops, although travel to vendors will be necessary.
